The intended goal of this introductory online campaign was to get the consumer introduced with From The Rack, The consumer has no idea who we are but may have clicked on the link for thrifted clothing that’s all they have to go off of. We created the post to fill in the gaps and explain to them why we are the best fit for them. We also explain why they should give us their email address for bonus content and discount codes, they can use on their purchases. We also left them with a “call to action” at the end of the blog post by stating “ready to start browsing” to get the consumer to look at our stock options.

From the Rack is writing to our target audience that is aged 18-30. The reasoning behind why we are writing to this audience is due to this market being in school or just emerging into the workforce; they want to show other people the style they have. An older demographic wouldn’t be very interested as their values wouldn’t align on this website. The lifestyle of this target market would be fashion-forward consumers who are digitally connected and have social circles. They also value being budget-conscious but don’t want to compromise on style and quality. Time is also limited as they have an extremely busy schedule fitting in work, school, and other extracurricular activities. The blog post is quick and to the point, having headlines telling the consumer the important stuff, and if they need to, they can go deeper into the information to pick out what they want. From The Rack lists the most important information in the list format, which pulls the consumer’s eyes toward it. The blog post fits into our target demographics’ busy time schedule.

The experience From The Rack is creating for the visitors of the site is one of exploration, discovery, and community engagement. We want the visitors of the website to explore the collections we have to offer and the stories each piece must tell. By offering a wide range of items we encourage the visitors to explore these sections and uncover pieces they want to add to their collections. For community engagement we want users to be able to submit their fit pictures to the website to be posted for others to see, visitors would be encouraged to do this by giving out discount codes for them doing so. We will also have locations to take pictures and stories about thrifting content that will Forster a sense of community engagement.
